The program you've known as mySoundTown has a new name—and a bigger future.

From day one, we've built Soundkins on a simple belief: early literacy instruction should be rooted in the science of reading and easy to implement. Strong foundations matter—phonemic awareness, letter-sound relationships, and the building blocks that set every child up to read. But research only works if teachers can actually use it. That's why we've always paired evidence-based practices with 5-minute lessons, zero prep, and characters kids genuinely love. The name is new. That commitment isn't going anywhere.

Here's  my announcement:

Why the Change?

For years, you've told us what you love about this program:

"My kids LOVE the characters."

"It's the easiest part of my day."

"My multilingual learners are thriving."

But you also told us you were ready for more. More vocabulary. More blending. Deeper challenges.

We heard you loud and clear: sounds are just the beginning.

Soundkins gives us room to grow. It keeps the heart of what you love—the characters, the simplicity, the joy—while opening the door to everything that comes next.

What's Ahead

As your students grow, the Soundkins world will grow with them.

Right now, we're continuing to deliver the research-backed, 5-minute lessons you count on. Behind the scenes, we're actively developing new content areas based on your feedback—things like blending, digraphs, and vocabulary.

We'll share more as these new areas take shape. For now, know that your voice is driving where we go.
